Just how far can Slovakia go? Having qualified for the first time for this World Cup (but remember that Slovakia has only been Slovakia for a small number of years) Slovakia have produced some stunning results. But their best result ever must surely be knocking out Italy. Italy v Slovakia gave odds of 7:4 against Slovakia and a prediction of a 1-0 win for Italy. Far from Italy beating Slovakia 1-0, Slovakia beat Italy 3 – 2, surely the result of the competition. Robert Vittek scored two goals for Slovakia, Kamil Kopunek got one to make it 3 for Slovakia. Di Natale and Quagliarella got Italy’s two goals with yet another dodgy refereeing decision denying Italy the equaliser.
